4-star OT Joe Brunner, QB Myles Burkett and the rest of the Badgers’ 2022 class – The Athletic By Publishing Team November 23, 2021 InStudy Abroad Share Facebook Twitter Pinterest WhatsApp When the NCAA dead-end period ended on June 1 and recruits were finally able to visit college campuses after a 15-month hiatus, the Wisconsin Employment Class of 2022 had just one high school opportunity. But a 16-day period garnered 10 more commitments for the Badgers to put the program on solid ground for its future. There is still more work to be done in Wisconsin. A trio of four-star players inside the country remain non-committal: attacking lineman Carson Heinzmann and Billy Schroth, as well as defensive lineman Isaac Hamm. The three made official visits to Wisconsin on the first weekend of June. Below is an analysis of Wisconsin’s 2022 commitments. All rankings are from 247Sports Composite, and players are ranked by commitment date with the latest commitment listed first. Aidan Vaughan, LB Hometown: Walled Lake, Mich. High School: Walled Lake Western Ranking: N/A overall, N/A linebacker (no stars) Commitment date: November 22, 2021 Note: Vaughan was one of the late emerging prospects who abandoned the Air Force commitment at the end of October after a month that included scholarship offers from nine Power 5 programs, including Wisconsin. He made an official visit to Madison in November to watch Wisconsin’s win against Northwestern – his only official visit while in the running – and committed to it a week later. Vaughan is an indoor quarterback who is also a discus thrower in all situations. Tristan Monday, LB Birthplace: Scottsdale, Arizona, High School: Saguaro Rating: No. 840 overall, No. 77 lbs (three stars) Commitment date: November 15, 2021 Note: Monday became the first prospect in the 2022 Wisconsin class to reverse its commitment to the Badgers. He has been committed to Arizona since March, but the relationship he developed with Wisconsin quarterback coach Bobby April proved to be a major factor.
